90% of our income comes from individual donations and adoption fees. 65% of our expenses go directly to vet care. We are staffed by volunteers. We run a very lean organization and use your donation for the animals’ care, not for overhead and administrative items. If you’d like to see where your contribution goes please stop by the shelter any Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. or make an appointment to see our shelter and meet our volunteers.

Meet Frederika (aka Freddie), who was one of 15 cats that lived in a hot storage unit for a month because her owner lost their home. The Sanctuary was able to rescue many of these cats and most have found homes. Freddie is a bit shy so she has been overlooked on adoption days. She would be happiest in a quiet home with a warm lap to snuggle in. When you come to meet her, be sure to bring some turkey...it's her favorite treat!
