We are a Community Resource for you!

The "Sanctuary" is our concept for providing a nurturing environment for animals in need.

Our facility is home to most of our cats and dogs, although some reside in foster homes initially. This helps us to learn about their behavioral traits and make "right match" placements.

Our animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and parasites and tested for heartworm.  This means that any animal adopted from The Sanctuary at Haafsville is ready to start a new life in your home.

We are a volunteer based organization and are very conservative financially which allows us to provide exceptional care to our resident animals.  We are funded by our ongoing fundraising efforts, donations and our partnerships.  And for all the support we receive, we do like to give back and do so through our sponsorship of a Humane Police Officer which is one of our gifts to the community.  Visit our Thank You page to see some of great organizations that have helped us in our first 9 years.

Animal Welfare Services

  • Animal Adoptions: We offer a mix of ages and breeds of cats and dogs.
  • Seniors Program: We offer flexible programs for seniors adopting animals.
  • Foster Program: Visit our FOSTER page to learn more.
  • Long-Term Stay: Sometimes, we become permanant housing for a few animals that are never adopted.  We keep those animals safe and loved.
  • Animal Safety: We provide Animal Control and Humane Police services for 17 local municipalities.
  • Shelter Partnerships: We pull animals from many high-kill shelters saving hundreds of lives.
  • Educational Opportunities: We participate and offer several programs for schools and organizations such as our PAWS program.  Visit our FAQ's to learn more.

How We Enrich Peoples' Lives

We provide services to enrich peoples' lives which include:

  • Community Service hours for volunteers.
  • Programs for Special Needs individuals.
  • Cultivate an atmosphere of gratitute and respect for Volunteers.
  • A teamwork approach so volunteers are not overwhelmed and can grow.
  • Provide a welcoming sanctuary for non-pet owners to be with animals.

We invite you to become a part of The Sanctuary in a way that works for YOU!

Libby
NOW AVAILABLE AT PETCO
This poor girl was found abandoned in her home. Libby was left with no food, water or litter during a recent heatwave.
Libby is incredibly friendly, interactive and loving. She practically jumps into your arms when you open her cage. Libby is so happy to be getting the attention she needs. She loves people and will head butt you for pets and head scratches . Libby will actually hug you back. She does NOT like dogs and doesn’t seem to care for other cats either. Libby is a beautiful girl who will be an excellent companion.
Libby is healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for felv/fiv and litter trained. We are currently featuring Libby at Petco Lower Nazareth (3895 Dryland Way, Easton). Direct adoption inquiries to Amanda 610-401-7523 or email us at
