How to Adopt from The Sanctuary

Thank you for choosing to adopt your new family member from The Sanctuary at Haafsville. We'd be delighted to help you make the right match and adopt an animal.  We will make every effort to ensure that the adoption experience will be positive for you, your household members and your new pet.

We are open every Saturday from 10:00am - 2:00pm ET for Adoption Days!  This is a great opportunity to meet our resident animals and the Sanctuary Volunteers and get to know more about our animals and Us!

Not all our animals are kept at the shelter but are cared for by our wonderful Foster families-so if you want to meet or confirm whether a particular animal will be at the shelter for our adoption events, please call us in advance

Adoption payment is required before taking an animal home.  We accept Cash or Credit Card for adoption fees. All our animals are fully up to date on shots when leaving The Sanctuary and are ready for your home.

What types of animals do you offer?

AJ
AJ is one of over 110 cats who were rescued from a home in April 2019. Like many of the others, AJ was very confused and scared when he came to the Sanctuary. In the 9 months since then, AJ has learned to trust the volunteers who care for him. AJ has learned that human kindness and affection are good things. He has come such a long way and deserves to live his life in a loving home rather than the shelter. AJ is gentle and gets along very well with other cats. He is a good boy and would thrive with caring, patient and loving people.
AJ is 4 years old, handsome, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, negative for felv and litter trained. It was reported that AJ does have some night vision issues but it does not limit him. Please consider opening your heart and home to AJ.
