How to Adopt from The Sanctuary

Thank you for choosing to adopt your new family member from The Sanctuary at Haafsville. We'd be delighted to help you make the right match and adopt an animal.  We will make every effort to ensure that the adoption experience will be positive for you, your household members and your new pet.

We are open every Saturday from 10:00am - 2:00pm ET with the following hours:

DOG Open Hours – Saturdays 10am – 2pm

**Please do not bring your own dogs**

CAT Open Hours for previously scheduled appointments – Saturdays 10am – 12pm

CAT Open Hours without appointments – Saturdays 12pm – 2pm

This is a great opportunity to meet our resident animals and the Sanctuary Volunteers and get to know more about our animals and Us!

Not all our animals are kept at the shelter but are cared for by our wonderful Foster families-so if you want to meet or confirm whether a particular animal will be at the shelter for our adoption events, please call us in advance

Adoption payment is required before taking an animal home.  We accept Cash or Credit Card for adoption fees. All our animals are fully up to date on shots when leaving The Sanctuary and are ready for your home.

For any additional information on dog adoptions, please email dogadoptions@thesanctuarypa.org and for cat adoptions, please email catadoptions@thesanctuarypa.org . Thank You!

Ween
Ween is hoping for a miracle. She is the longest resident in the Sanctuary at Haafsville Cat Building. Ween is sweet, loving, playful, and a shameless mooch! Besides that, she is gorgeous with thoughtful eyes and lovely coloring.

You may be wondering how such a great cat is still at a shelter. It is because this purrfect girl also has occasional accidents outside of the litter box.

Ween is a very special cat who needs a special person, someone who is patient, understanding, and good with a Swiffer! However, the reward is a truly amazing companion. Ween has participated in multiple photoshoots while on a leash and harness. She even completed a 5K riding along in a backpack.

Ween is 5 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV & FIV, and microchipped.

Ween spends most of her time on the nice list. Don't let a few moments on the naughty list stand between her and a forever home.
