The Sanctuary at Haafsville is a safe haven for homeless cats and dogs.

In our first 12 years, we've saved over 12,000 animals and placed them in loving "furever" homes! In 2021, we placed almost 1,200 animals.  We adhere to a No-Kill animal welfare philosophy which means we do not euthanize animals to create space.  We partner with shelters that are overcrowded, rescue dogs and cats from natural disasters, accept dogs and cats from owners who need to relinquish them, and work to place animals into loving homes.

Thank you so much to our supporters who allow our mission to grow!!

Help us in our mission to create a safe haven for animals - adopt a dog, adopt a cat,  become a Volunteer or by provide critical donations.

Adoption Spotlight

**FOSTER or FOREVER home needed**

Lily was relinquished to the Sanctuary at Haafsville after her mom went to a nursing home. Lily has not been happy at the shelter and is not particularly fond of the other cats. The shelter environment isn’t optimal for her personality and dietary needs. As a result, she must stay in a cage much of the time. Lily really should be in a loving home where she is the only pet and has room to roam. She will thrive in a quiet home with people who love and understand her. Lily really is a good girl who just needs someone willing to give her a chance.

Lily is 8 to 9 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped. Lily needs to be on a diet of strictly C/D food.
