Adoption Spotlight

Turnip aka Turner is a male Cavapoo who is 7 years old. He arrived to us from an Amish puppy mill where he was used for breeding his whole life. This poor boy is understandably terrified and is decompressing in one of our wonderful foster homes. Check out the adorable videos of him in the comment section!! We are beginning to see tail wags and happy smiles from him! He’s also learning how to walk on a leash too!
Turnip is making wonderful strides in his foster home. However, he lived 7 years in only a crate, so he is not used to living in a home and still working on potty training. We are looking for an adopter who will be patient and willing to work with him as he learns how to live in a home. We are also looking for a home with another dog to show Turnip how to be a dog. Amish dogs can take longer to acclimate to a normal household environment, but we are hopeful his forever family is out there! He has plenty of love to give, but he just needs help building confidence and trust.
He seems to enjoy walking around the neighborhood and love car rides! His foster mama says he is super sweet and loving despite what we think he’s been through. Turnip would thrive in a home with another dog, a patient adopter, and a quiet household. Interested in meeting this sweet sweet boy? Fill out your application today!
