Adele

Hello” it’s me
“Rumor Has It” that you’re looking to adopt a kitty. And I’ve been waiting for “Someone Like You” to adopt me.

I am a good girl who is getting over my stage fright at the shelter. I’ve quickly gained confidence and courage. I’m seeking attention from the volunteers and they’re happy to provide it. Every diva enjoys attention. I am content as a solo act but I’m ok as a duo as long as my feline buddy doesn’t steal the spotlight. When considering adoptable cats, I’m top of the charts.

Adele is 1 year old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.

Bailey

Bailey is a new arrival to the Sanctuary at Haafsville. She will be fully vetted this week and ready for adoption by the weekend. Bailey, the beautiful, is mellow, gentle and affectionate. She has been in a cage until her vetting is complete. Therefore, we are not sure how she feels about the other cats yet. She is sure to be popular - so get your application in early. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be with Bailey daily?

Bailey is 4 years old. There are no known health concerns. She is spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.

Bashful

Bashful earned her named for a reason. She is very sweet but also very shy. Bashful is quickly making friends with the other cats in the free roaming room. She can often be found cuddled up with a feline friend or two in a cat hut. Bashful is receptive to attention from the volunteers. She will need adopters who are patient and will provide the time, encouragement, support and love she needs to thrive.

Bashful is 1 year old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Chopstix

Chopstix is a recent owner surrender. She is a lovely cat who eagerly seeks attention. Chopstix needs a loving home ASAP as she must remain caged for 2 reasons:
1 - Chopstix is not fond of other cats.
2 - Chopstix is a rather large girl who needs to eat diet food only. Of course, being caged doesn’t help promote movement to reduce her weight.

If you are seeking an affectionate feline companion and only want one - please consider opening your heart and home to beautiful Chopstix.

Chopstix is 3 years old, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped. She needs to improve her overall health by reducing her weight.

Cinderella

Like our favorite childhood character, Cinderella lived a hard life. She was as a stray. She is now at the shelter experiencing comfort and resting in the towel supply. We don’t have fairy godmothers but we do have loving volunteers who are providing the care she needs to transform into a highly adoptable cat. Cinderella does not want to attend a fancy ball - she wants to join her new feline friends in the laundry room. That’s where the cool cats gather and frolic. Cinderella does not need a prince to whisk her away. She needs a loving adopter to provide a wonderful fairytale kind of life.

Cinderella is 4 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is also known as Queenie. She certainly is quite regal. She has a commanding presence with her luxurious coat and stunning good looks. As with any queen, Elizabeth is elegant, dignified and gracious. She enjoys attention from her adoring public. Elizabeth will certainly appeal to the masses. Let her assume the role of queen of your household. No coronation is necessary - just an approved application. Long may she reign !!

Elizabeth is 4 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Emerald

Emerald is certainly a beauty - but please consider her personality before deciding she might be the one for you. Emerald is a quiet girl who is fine with the other free roaming cats. She doesn’t cause any trouble. Emerald is independent and is often relaxing in a cubby or hut by herself. When it’s quiet, she is more adventurous and playful - she enjoys batting around a spring toy. Emerald typically runs away if you try to pet her. She is still learning to trust but she’ll get there. Emerald will need adopters who are patient and will accept her as she is. Emerald may never be a cuddly cat, but she still deserves a secure and loving home.

Emerald is 2 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Florence

Florence is a name that you don’t hear much anymore. It means blossoming and flourishing. Actually this is an appropriate name for this beautiful girl. Upon arrival, Florence was terrified and hid in the darkest and smallest spaces she could find. Slowly she has been gaining confidence and becoming more visible in the free roaming room. Florence now sits on the front desk and seeks attention. She leans in for gentle petting. She is now doing so well in the shelter environment. Florence is not thrilled when the other cats approach her and she lets them know it. She will flourish in a home where she is the only cat. Take Florence home and watch her blossom into the companion you’ve been wanting.

Florence is about 3 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Gamora

Gamora is a little glamour puss who has superstar potential. She is a little nervous right now in her new shelter environment. She is getting her stage fright under under with each passing day. Gamora does not mind sharing the spotlight. She is usually seen cuddling with her buddies (Starlord and Dewey) for comfort. They are good little supporting actors for her. She does welcome petting from her adoring public. Gamora does not mind being picked up and held. In a loving home she will be perfectly cast as the beautiful, playful and affectionate companion. Make her the headliner of your home - adopt Gamora.

Gamora is 6 months old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Holly

Holly is a single mom who did a great job raising her little guy. She took care of him when they were outside and resources were scarce. She protected him from harm. She snuggled him and made him feel safe, even in an overwhelming new setting when they first arrived at the shelter. Holly was everything that a mom needs to be: loving, brave, and selfless.

Sweet Holly is now at the Sanctuary, ready for her forever home. Her kitten is older and in a foster home, socializing with other kittens his age. Holly no longer has to worry about finding food. Holly doesn't have to be concerned about foxes or cars or the bitter cold. Holly finally has love and stability.

She is still nervous and hides because that is the life she knew. However, when you take time to sit down with her, petting her and getting to know her, you can see what a wonderful cat she truly is.

Holly is 6 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.

Koi

Let us be coy with you, no...wait...
Let Koi be with you.
Koi is one of the many cats who will soon hit the two year mark at the Sanctuary.
Koi came in with a number of other cats. Some were able to be adopted, though most stayed with us.
Koi came to us from an unfortunate situation. Her home life changed. Her owner tried to do right by her, but we are not sure if she was angry at her life changing or if she was upset that she was at the shelter.
But slowly Koi has been showing us that she has a sweet side. She just doesn't let her guard down all of the time.
But when it's quiet and when she knows the Churu and the turkey lunch meat will make an appearance, she rubs on you and it gives you hope that she may not need to put her guard up ever again.
Maybe in her own home she can finally drop it for good.
Koi would do best in a home that would let her relax on her time. We do not recommend a home with small children.

Koi is about 6 years old, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Lily

Lily was relinquished to the Sanctuary at Haafsville after her mom went to a nursing home. Lily has not been happy at the shelter and is not particularly fond of the other cats. The shelter environment isn’t optimal for her personality and dietary needs. As a result, she must stay in a cage much of the time. Lily really should be in a loving home where she is the only pet and has room to roam. She will thrive in a quiet home with people who love and understand her. Lily really is a good girl who just needs someone willing to give her a chance.

Lily is 8 to 9 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped. Lily needs to be on a diet of strictly C/D food.

Lucy

I Love Lucy
And you will too
Lucy is a gentle and quiet girl who is intimidated by the stronger feline personalities in the free roam room. As a result, she was hiding in a small dark nook. She has been moved to the shy room and is doing much better. Lucy will do even better in a quiet, loving and reassuring home. Lucy is curious, sweet and very affectionate. Lucy needs to feel safe, secure and loved. She is a very good girl. Let’s get her into a home where she can get what she needs as soon as possible. Please apply to adopt her today.

Lucy does not do well with alpha cats. She will probably be fine with another quiet, friendly and docile cat.

Lucy is 4 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Lyric

Sit back, think of a song, one with lyrics that resonate with you, with how you’re feeling. We all have that lyric that sticks with you - your favorite lyric…

Just for example, some that may resonate with the cats at the shelter:
“It’s so easy to laugh, it’s so easy to hate. It takes guts to be gentle and kind”-
The Smiths
“Can the dark side light my way out?” –Selfless, The Strokes
“If it wasn’t for disappointment, I wouldn’t have any appointments.” –
They Might Be Giants

The volunteers favorite Lyric is the quiet one. The one that sits in the corner. Often with another friend.
She wants to be friendly, she wants to be loved. Maybe she is afraid that her world will be turned upside down again.

Lyric came to the shelter with other friends from the same home. Her parents are no longer around. She is not sure what to make of the shelter and the other cats around her, so she hides away. While the radio plays the catchy tunes, Lyrics are more of a quiet melody. When the lights are out and it’s quiet, you can hear her song sung. She seeks attention but gets scared away by the cats with stronger personalities.

This Lyric is beautiful. This Lyric is lovely. This Lyric wants to be your favorite one.

Lyric is around 5 years old, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FIV/FeLV, litter box trained and microchipped.

Miley

Poor Miley needs a new loving home after her owner passed away. She is adjusting fine to the shelter environment but she really needs a good home soon. Miley is a very good girl who is sweet, gentle, curious, quiet, and very affectionate. Miley does not seem bothered by the other friendly cats at the shelter. Miley would thrive in a quiet, low activity home with people who will shower her with kindness and love.

Miley is 6 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Missy

Take a look at our little Missy
Not yet kissy but not at all hissy
Missy is a bit shy and will likely hide
Just being honest, can’t claim we lied
She may grumble and whine
Truly she just needs patience and time
Good with other cats and would prefer to have a feline friend
With your care, her timid ways will surely end
In a good home, she will thrive and learn to trust
Being her paw-rents is not a want but a must
Missy was a mom but those days are now done
Ready to be carefree, spoiled and have some fun
Petite, pretty and soft - a true doll
Adopt her - send an email or give us a call

Missy is 4 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Regina

She is a true tortie and has the attitude to prove it.
Regina prefers to be loved on her terms. She is incredibly affectionate but when she has had enough attention, she will let you know. It is best to love Regina when she approaches you and in small doses. Regina will follow you around and rub against your legs. She can be a bit testy with the other cats. Despite her quirks, she is a beautiful and loving cat. Just read her signals and respect her boundaries and she will be a great addition to your home.

Regina is 2 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Ribbon

The best things in life come in small packages. Ribbon is a petite bundle of cuteness and love. She is a blue caliber ribbon. This girl has vibrant colors in her coat and eyes. She is pretty, perky and playful. Ribbon is lovable but only likes to be held briefly. She is an adorable youngster who would rather run and play. Ribbon does interact and nap with the other friendly cats. She is a gift that will keep on giving. Contact the Sanctuary at Haafsville to wrap this up and put a bow on this adoption.

Ribbon is 7 months old. There are no known health concerns. She is spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.

Taffy

Whether it is rainy, cloudy or sunny outside as you read this, today seems determined to be a stormy day.

Let this be your moment to drift back to warm summer memories full of vacations at the shore, walking along the ocean, feeling the sun on your skin, and the delicious taste of salt water taffy.

Taffy is your ticket to a delightful mental break from your troubles and worries. Her coloring is as lovely as a beach sunset. Her eyes are as memorizing as the waves rolling in and out. And, most importantly, she is as sweet as Taffy!

Taffy is 10 months old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.

Ween

Ween is hoping for a miracle. She is the longest resident in the Sanctuary at Haafsville Cat Building. Ween is sweet, loving, playful, and a shameless mooch! Besides that, she is gorgeous with thoughtful eyes and lovely coloring.

You may be wondering how such a great cat is still at a shelter. It is because this purrfect girl also has occasional accidents outside of the litter box.

Ween is a very special cat who needs a special person, someone who is patient, understanding, and good with a Swiffer! However, the reward is a truly amazing companion. Ween has participated in multiple photoshoots while on a leash and harness. She even completed a 5K riding along in a backpack.

Ween is 5 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV & FIV, and microchipped.
