Hello” it’s me
“Rumor Has It” that you’re looking to adopt a kitty. And I’ve been waiting for “Someone Like You” to adopt me.
I am a good girl who is getting over my stage fright at the shelter. I’ve quickly gained confidence and courage. I’m seeking attention from the volunteers and they’re happy to provide it. Every diva
enjoys attention. I am content as a solo act but I’m ok as a duo as long as my feline buddy doesn’t steal the spotlight. When considering adoptable cats, I’m top of the charts.
Adele is 1 year old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.
Bashful earned her named for a reason. She is very sweet but also very shy. Bashful is quickly making friends with the other cats in the free roaming room. She can often be found cuddled up with a
feline friend or two in a cat hut. Bashful is receptive to attention from the volunteers. She will need adopters who are patient and will provide the time, encouragement, support and love she needs
to thrive.
Bashful is 1 year old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Everybody is falling in love with Bessie. She is a short and stocky bundle of purr-fection. Bessie is just a joy to behold. She is a beautiful, silly and affectionate girl. You will smile and your
heart will swell when she barrels toward you just to be by your side. She flashes her sparkly eyes as you gently pet her. Bessie is fine with other cats but really enjoys being with people. You’ll
never be lonely with Bessie in your home. Bessie is eager to be your bestie.
Bessie is about 7 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Like our favorite childhood character, Cinderella lived a hard life. She was as a stray. She is now at the shelter experiencing comfort and resting in the towel supply. We don’t have fairy
godmothers but we do have loving volunteers who are providing the care she needs to transform into a highly adoptable cat. Cinderella does not want to attend a fancy ball - she wants to join her new
feline friends in the laundry room. That’s where the cool cats gather and frolic. Cinderella does not need a prince to whisk her away. She needs a loving adopter to provide a wonderful fairytale kind
of life.
Cinderella is 4 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Cindy is a sweet but scared little girl. She came to the Sanctuary at Haafsville as a stray. This poor girl hid and hissed for a few days but she is making
progress. She is becoming more relaxed. Cindy now hunkers down in a quiet spot in the free roaming room. She is learning to trust the volunteers and seems fine with the other cats nearby. Cindy will
thrive in a quiet home with patient people who will provide love and reassurance.
Cindy is 3 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Emerald is certainly a beauty - but please consider her personality before deciding she might be the one for you. Emerald is a quiet girl who is fine with
the other free roaming cats. She doesn’t cause any trouble. Emerald is independent and is often relaxing in a cubby or hut by herself. When it’s quiet, she is more adventurous and playful - she
enjoys batting around a spring toy. Emerald typically runs away if you try to pet her. She is still learning to trust but she’ll get there. Emerald will need adopters who are patient and will accept
her as she is. Emerald may never be a cuddly cat, but she still deserves a secure and loving home.
Emerald is 2 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Florence is a name that you don’t hear much anymore. It means blossoming and flourishing. Actually this is an appropriate name for this beautiful girl. Upon arrival, Florence was terrified and hid
in the darkest and smallest spaces she could find. Slowly she has been gaining confidence and becoming more visible in the free roaming room. Florence now sits on the front desk and seeks attention.
She leans in for gentle petting. She is now doing so well in the shelter environment. Florence is not thrilled when the other cats approach her and she lets them know it. She will flourish in a home
where she is the only cat. Take Florence home and watch her blossom into the companion you’ve been wanting.
Florence is about 3 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Holly is a single mom who did a great job raising her little guy. She took care of him when they were outside and resources were scarce. She protected him from harm. She snuggled him and made him
feel safe, even in an overwhelming new setting when they first arrived at the shelter. Holly was everything that a mom needs to be: loving, brave, and selfless.
Sweet Holly is now at the Sanctuary, ready for her forever home. Her kitten is older and in a foster home, socializing with other kittens his age. Holly no longer has to worry about finding food.
Holly doesn't have to be concerned about foxes or cars or the bitter cold. Holly finally has love and stability.
She is still nervous and hides because that is the life she knew. However, when you take time to sit down with her, petting her and getting to know her, you can see what a wonderful cat she truly
is.
Holly is 6 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.
Let us be coy with you, no...wait...
Let Koi be with you.
Koi is one of the many cats who will soon hit the two year mark at the Sanctuary.
Koi came in with a number of other cats. Some were able to be adopted, though most stayed with us.
Koi came to us from an unfortunate situation. Her home life changed. Her owner tried to do right by her, but we are not sure if she was angry at her life changing or if she was upset that she was at
the shelter.
But slowly Koi has been showing us that she has a sweet side. She just doesn't let her guard down all of the time.
But when it's quiet and when she knows the Churu and the turkey lunch meat will make an appearance, she rubs on you and it gives you hope that she may not need to put her guard up ever again.
Maybe in her own home she can finally drop it for good.
Koi would do best in a home that would let her relax on her time. We do not recommend a home with small children.
Koi is about 6 years old, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Lily was relinquished to the Sanctuary at Haafsville after her mom went to a nursing home. Lily is not happy at the shelter and does not get along with the
other cats. As a result, she needs to stay in a cage. Lily really needs a loving home where she is the only pet. She will thrive in a quiet home with people who love her.
Lily is 8 to 9 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
I Love Lucy
And you will too
Lucy is a gentle and quiet girl who is intimidated by the stronger feline personalities in the free roam room. As a result, she was hiding in a small dark nook. She has been moved to the shy room and
is doing much better. Lucy will do even better in a quiet, loving and reassuring home. Lucy is curious, sweet and very affectionate. Lucy needs to feel safe, secure and loved. She is a very good
girl. Let’s get her into a home where she can get what she needs as soon as possible. Please apply to adopt her today.
Lucy does not do well with alpha cats. She will probably be fine with another quiet, friendly and docile cat.
Lucy is 4 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Sit back, think of a song, one with lyrics that resonate with you, with how you’re feeling. We all have that lyric that sticks with you - your favorite lyric…
Just for example, some that may resonate with the cats at the shelter:
“It’s so easy to laugh, it’s so easy to hate. It takes guts to be gentle and kind”-
The Smiths
“Can the dark side light my way out?” –Selfless, The Strokes
“If it wasn’t for disappointment, I wouldn’t have any appointments.” –
They Might Be Giants
The volunteers favorite Lyric is the quiet one. The one that sits in the corner. Often with another friend.
She wants to be friendly, she wants to be loved. Maybe she is afraid that her world will be turned upside down again.
Lyric came to the shelter with other friends from the same home. Her parents are no longer around. She is not sure what to make of the shelter and the other cats around her, so she hides away. While
the radio plays the catchy tunes, Lyrics are more of a quiet melody. When the lights are out and it’s quiet, you can hear her song sung. She seeks attention but gets scared away by the cats with
stronger personalities.
This Lyric is beautiful. This Lyric is lovely. This Lyric wants to be your favorite one.
Lyric is around 5 years old, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FIV/FeLV, litter box trained and microchipped.
They call me Matilda. It's not my original name, I don't remember what that was.
But they also call me wall flower, which is probably because I'm often in a cubby against the wall and there are flowers on it. I think that's why...
Maybe it's why people don't see me. Maybe I'm camouflaged.
I've been here a few months now.
Maybe one day I'll tell someone all about everything that goes on in my head, but now I stay quiet. I think I am just waiting for my person...or my new person, my last person loved me but I'm not
sure what happened to them.
I'm quiet, I'd love a quiet home. I love petting and when I get fed.
I don't love commotion or being approached too quickly.
I'd love a home. I remember I loved mine, I am sure I'd love yours....
I am non reactive to the other cats and even have made a friend or two.
Can I be your friend?
Matilda is about 3 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Poor Miley needs a new loving home after her owner passed away. She is adjusting fine to the shelter environment but she really needs a good home soon.
Miley is a very good girl who is sweet, gentle, curious, quiet, and very affectionate. Miley does not seem bothered by the other friendly cats at the shelter. Miley would thrive in a quiet, low
activity home with people who will shower her with kindness and love.
Miley is 6 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Take a look at our little Missy
Not yet kissy but not at all hissy
Missy is a bit shy and will likely hide
Just being honest, can’t claim we lied
She may grumble and whine
Truly she just needs patience and time
Good with other cats and would prefer to have a feline friend
With your care, her timid ways will surely end
In a good home, she will thrive and learn to trust
Being her paw-rents is not a want but a must
Missy was a mom but those days are now done
Ready to be carefree, spoiled and have some fun
Petite, pretty and soft - a true doll
Adopt her - send an email or give us a call
Missy is 4 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Olive is a cute and sweet kitten. She enjoys playing, wrestling and snuggling with her sisters, Lucy and Chloe. Please consider adopting her with a sibling
as kittens always do best when adopted in pairs. Olive also enjoys being held and cuddled by her foster family. Olive is confident, curious and affectionate- everything you would want in a
kitten.
Olive is 7 months old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

“Any day spent with you is my favorite day. So today is my new favorite day”
- Winnie the Pooh
You remember the beloved stories of our favorite honey loving bear. We all enjoyed the adventures of the characters in Hundred Acre Wood. Piglet is known to be Winnie the Pooh’s most cherished and
closest friend. Piglet is anxious and small in stature but has the biggest heart.
The same is true of Piglet at the Sanctuary at Haafsville. She is still a bit unsure about the shelter environment and is trying her best to adjust. Piglet is nervous being surrounded by so many
cats. She will thrive in a quiet home as the only feline family member. Piglet is waiting for her special person to form a lifelong bond. With Piglet, everyday will be your favorite day. Your buddy
story is waiting to be written. It’s sure to be a classic and epic tale.
Piglet is about 5 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
Hello, it’s me - pretty lil’ Ratchet
I give kisses then swats - I’m sorry, let’s bury the hatchet.
I enjoy attention on my own terms - a lesson everyone sooner or later learns.
Independent, friendly and cute - these are facts you cannot dispute.
Thick, grey fur and sparkly grey eyes - I’m the one for you’ll come to realize.
Other cats I can tolerate - being the only cat is my preferred fate.
Waiting for my home, trying not to fret - adopt me, a decision you won’t regret

Whether it is rainy, cloudy or sunny outside as you read this, today seems determined to be a stormy day.

delicious taste of salt water taffy.

the waves rolling in and out. And, most importantly, she is as sweet as Taffy!
Taffy is 10 months old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped.
Ween is hoping for a miracle. She is the longest resident in the Sanctuary at Haafsville Cat Building. Ween is sweet, loving, playful, and a shameless mooch! Besides that, she is gorgeous with
thoughtful eyes and lovely coloring.
You may be wondering how such a great cat is still at a shelter. It is because this purrfect girl also has occasional accidents outside of the litter box.
Ween is a very special cat who needs a special person, someone who is patient, understanding, and good with a Swiffer! However, the reward is a truly amazing companion. Ween has participated in
multiple photoshoots while on a leash and harness. She even completed a 5K riding along in a backpack.
Ween is 5 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV & FIV, and microchipped.

ZsaZsa is confused about how her life has turned out. She was clearly someone’s pet. ZsaZsa was found by a feeder in a local, managed colony. ZsaZsa was new in the colony and it was obvious that
she was dumped there. The feeder knew she would find a home as she is beautiful and friendly. ZsaZsa is still scared and adjusting to shelter life. She is trepidatious with the other cats and would
do better in a home where she is the only cat. ZsaZsa was let down by her people - she will need to learn to trust again. ZsaZsa needs a quiet home with patient people who will provide the love and
reassurance she needs. She will thrive in a secure and nurturing environment.
ZsaZsa is about 5 years old, healthy, spayed, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
