Cricket

Once upon a time, there was a feisty kitten with a stressful existence in a feral colony. Life was a daily struggle. He was eventally trapped as a juvenile. Since he was older with no prior contact with people, he was going to be a challenge to foster. Luckily for this little boy, he was given to a foster mom who is more stubborn than him. He was named Cricket. The foster mom wouldn’t give up on him and continued to pet Cricket despite his growls and hisses. This disgruntled boy slowly discovered he enjoyed butt scratches, ear scratches, back scratches and belly rubs. Cricket finally purred - and purred a lot. Cricket will now place his head in your hand and hope to be pet all day. He tolerates being held briefly. In the foster home, Cricket also learned to play. His preferred toys include wand toys, catnip mice and the laser dot. Cricket is great with other cats. He does not like being placed in a carrier but is ok once he’s in it. Cricket is food motivated and enjoys Churu treats. Giving him Churu treats will be a great way to bond. Cricket graduated to the free roaming room at the Sanctuary at Haafsville and is doing very well with people and his feline friends.
This once terrified kitten has been transformed. With the help of his wonderful foster mom, Cricket learned how to be a confident and lovable cat. Of course, this is not the end of the story. It’s just the beginning. Many adventures and happy memories to be made throughout his adoption story.
Cricket is about 10 months old, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped
