How to Adopt from The Sanctuary

Thank you for choosing to adopt your new family member from The Sanctuary at Haafsville. We'd be delighted to help you make the right match and adopt an animal.  We will make every effort to ensure that the adoption experience will be positive for you, your household members and your new pet.

We are open every Saturday from 10:00am - 2:00pm ET with the following hours at the Dog Adoption Center (901 Nestle Way, Breiningsville, PA 18031)

DOG Open Hours – Saturdays 10am – 2pm

**Please keep your current dogs at home!
**Dog adoptions will not take place during this timeframe. Applications will only be taken on our available dogs. We do not pre-approve dog adoption applications as we believe every dog's needs are unique. Therefore, same day dog adoptions do not occur during our Open Hours.
**It is not first come, first served, so please do not feel like you need to be there right at our opening at 10 am - that tends to be our busiest time.
**Please do your best to have ALL (human) members of the household present to meet the dogs. We do not finalize adoptions until everyone in the household has met the dog and needing to meet family members can delay the process.

This is a great opportunity to meet our resident animals and the Sanctuary Volunteers and get to know more about our animals and Us!

Adoption payment is required before taking an animal home. The adoption fees range depending on the medical needs and the age of the dog. We accept Cash, Check, or Credit Card for adoption fees. If you want to know the adoption fee for a specific dog, please email our Dog Adoption Team

Snoop Hogg
Snoop Hogg was found wandering the streets of Philly and when he was brought to ACCT there was concern that he was being used as bait for dog fighting rings. After several weeks it was clear that all the pig rescues were full and even though we don't usually rescue pigs we knew we couldn’t leave him there suffering. He had severe mange and an eye issue along with some behavioral issues. We immediately took him to see Dr Wilbers where he was vaccinated, neutered and medicated for mange. We made him our office pig and worked on harness training and potty training. He is doing great on both. He loves everyone... is picky on his dog friends, but has a cat buddy that he shares the office with. He's only 6 months old and when people say "mini pig" there is really no such thing. Plan on him being close to 100 lbs. Pigs are very smart and need companionship. He loves to snuggle under his blankets at night and loves to go for long walks in the woods. Pigs are not for everyone. Know what you are getting into. Ideally he would like to be an indoor pig with a big fenced yard to play in. A pig friend would be lovely. He needs to stay at a healthy weight.... too many pigs are overfed and unhealthy and we don't want Snoop Hogg's belly to drag the ground. He has become a Volunteer favorite and we are hoping more people see pigs as friends not food!
