We Thank You... They Thank You!

The animals of the Sanctuary want to give a big round of paws (applause) to the amazing humans and organizations below; but they also want to acknowledge those who made individual donations for unplanned circumstances such as Hurricane Irma or Florence and other natural disasters that have occured.  THANK YOU!

Special Grant Support

Thank you to the ASPCA for your wonderful grant support.  Your grant support during 2016 helped fund the training of our Humane Police Officer, a community resources we make available to the public, and for the "Share the Love" event with Subaru.

A Shout Out & Thanks!

Thank You to Dorney Park for storing donated food in your warehouse. Along with this special thanks is a high-five to J&E trucking for picking up the donated food and goods for us, allowing us to use their trailer for storage on site, and storage at their Macungie terminal as well.

A Shout Out & Thanks!

For two years in a row, Petco Foundation has awarded grants to The Sanctuary at Haafsville.  These grants have enabled hundreds of feral cats, owned cats and pit bulls to be neutered or spayed and vaccinated, preventing the birth of thousands of kittens and puppies.  Funding was also provided to pay for the expensive treatment of heartworm that some of our rescued dogs come with and need to be treated.  So, can we all join together and say “Thank you Petco Foundation.”

Newt
Newt shares the same backstory as many of our Sanctuary residents over the past year. He came to us as part of a situation involving over 100 cats. He was very nervous at first, choosing a quiet hideout in the corner of the room. However, with time, patience, and the love of our volunteer staff, Newt has really come into his own. He now spends much of his time, when he is not stretched out and sleeping, exploring the room and socializing with volunteers. Newt enjoys napping in a patch of sunshine. Newt‘s favorite activity is eating and can be won over with his favorite treats.

This lovely fellow is one of our longest feline residents, having joined the Sanctuary in April of 2019. Initially, his timid personality was an obstacle for finding a forever home. However, Newt has blossomed into a gentle, sweet cat who deserves a home of his own.

Newt is great with other cats. He has a calm personality and can frequently be found cuddled up with a feline buddy. He is about 5 years old. He is healthy, neutered, vaccinated, negative for felv and litter trained.
