The dictionary describes the word “classic” as: used to say that something has come to be considered one of the best of its kind.
It can also be a work of art.
When you think of classic, you think of cars like the Rolls Royce. When you think of classic music, you think of the Beatles, Beethoven or Bach. When you think of classic movies, they are black and
white…Casablanca for example.
Suave, sophisticated, classic.
Our classic shouldn’t be in any other category. He is in black and white. He sports the classic tuxedo. Ready for a formal dinner or a night of wings and the big game.
Classic is the type of cat that sticks with you. Literally. When he knows he has your attention, you can be sure his attention in return is the best.
He displays the art of happy tail. Not marking his territory, but shaking in excitement. He perfected the art of greeting you at the door. He is the best at rubbing against your legs.
He does have a little bad boy in him, being sure to let you know when he’s had enough. But then again, he is a cat.
Classic is 2 years old, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

Fig is a sweet and salty fellow.
The Sweet: Fig is friendly and enjoys people. He is stunning with his long, shiny black coat. Fig knows he’s gorgeous and expects recognition through praise, pets, cuddles and smooches. Fig has great
jumping skills which he demonstrates when snagging feather wand toys in mid air. Fig is a swift and graceful runner. He is smart, curious, alert and delightful. You can’t help but smile in the
presence of Fig.
The Salty: Fig excels at antagonizing other cats with his disapproving glance, grumbling, swatting and eventual chase. It pleases him to see other cats scamper for safety. He can be a bully and is
quite proud of it. Therefore, the most successful adoption would be where he is the only cat in the home.

For those of a certain age, you’ll recall Wham-O, a company with lively commercials and much desired products like Slip-N-Slide, Superball, Frisbee, Boogie Board and, of course, the Hula Hoop. For
those of a certain age, the Sanctuary at Haafsville brings you the updated and more sedentary Hula Hoop - your waist will not be twisting but rather sat upon. Instead of working up a sweat, you’ll be
resting up with naps. Like the original, the Sanctuary at Haafsville’s Hula Hoop will bring you endless hours of happiness. She is fine with the other free roaming cats at the shelter. Hula Hoop is a

Many of the volunteers have a difference of opinion on what band is the best. Some like the Beatles, others would keep trucking with the Grateful Dead.
Some like bands with silly names like Oingo Boingo. Some prefer those with a little more down south twang.
But the cats all seem to agree that 30 Seconds to Lars is a great band!
Or wait, should it be 30 seconds to decide to adopt Lars?
Then again why is this even a question?
In 30 seconds you could be pulling up and filling out an application.
In 30 seconds you could be sending a picture of Lars to the rest of your family and getting agreements to adopt him.
In 30 seconds you could be one step closer to Lars.
Lars is around 4 years old, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped. He is rather timid, but does not hide. He would need a proper introduction to other
cats in the home (if there are any).

sweetest girl ever. Mitzy happily accepts attention and reassurance from the shelter volunteers. It is obvious that Mitzy was loved and well cared for in her previous home. We are always concerned
about new senior arrivals as they can become depressed and shut down. Don’t let that happen - please open your heart and home to this affectionate, beautiful and gentle senior girl.

Hello, it’s me - pretty lil’ Ratchet
I give kisses then swats - I’m sorry, let’s bury the hatchet.
I enjoy attention on my own terms - a lesson everyone sooner or later learns.

Thick, grey fur and sparkly grey eyes - I’m the one for you’ll come to realize.
Other cats I can tolerate - being the only cat is my preferred fate.

Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou, Romeo ?
“I’m right here - on Kernsville Rd in Orefield !!!
Hi, I’m Romeo and I’m new to the Sanctuary at Haafsville. I was transferred from another overcrowded shelter. I’m enjoying the attention from the volunteers but I’m still a bit wary of the other
cats. I would probably be happiest as the only cat in a home. I’m not looking for Juliet but rather a loving adopter - if your name happens to be Juliet, even better! I’m quite the character who is
motivated by petting and treats. I am adorable, friendly, and curious. My shelter story will not be a romantic tragedy but an adoption triumph.
I’m 2 years old, healthy, neutered, vaccinated, negative for FeLV/FIV, litter trained and microchipped

-You can pet me, I won’t hide. Just put out your hand and I’ll be your guide.

-Adopt me, drive me home - I’ll enjoy the ride. Ready to start my new life always by your side.

We’ve all been there. You look fancy for a night out. You’re excited to meet new people. Problem is, when you get there, you don’t know what to say or how to say it.
That kind of sums up Ulrich. He looks very fancy. He’s excited to meet new people but he’s not sure how to act. Instead of meowing, he hisses. Don’t let the hissing fool you - Ulrich is actually
happy to see you. He eagerly approaches you and forcefully presses against you for attention and petting.
Ulrich came from a bad situation so he’s lacking refined kitty skills. But he’s a quick learner and winning the hearts of all the volunteers. Ulrich is not ready to be picked up and held - yet. Sit
