Augustus is missing his tail. He is timid but slowly learning how to trust people. He hisses softly when he is approached and feels threatened, but he has never tried to bite or scratch. However, in his "safe spot" (a cat bed partially hidden under a human bed), he is sweet and friendly, and he will often climb into the cat bed for petting when I lie down next to it. He will stay in the cat bed for 10 minutes or more just purring and being pet. Time and patience will help this sweet boy feel safe in any spot.

Augustus gets along with his foster sibling, Potato. Please consider adopting them together.
